Why a parent coach?

As a new or experienced  parent, you know there is no shortage of issues that parents need help with:
  · Transition to parenthood.

  · Returning to work.

  · Child care.

  · Toddler behavior.

  · Potty training.

  · Setting limits.

  · Differences between parents.

  · Sibling relationships.

  · Discipline.

During the parent consultations each family can determine better ways to discipline, manage family time and improve the relationships.

"Implement" is the key verb. It is one thing to learn what to do and how to do it. It is another to have a parent coach who is an ally, who is by your side, as you work through the plan and help ensure the impact of the strategies to be long-lasting.  Coaching provides a feedback loop.

Sometimes parents just need extra support and guidance. A parent coach will provide encouragement during a time of struggle.

How can
a parent coach help?

A parent coach can help you in numberous ways. Among them:

1. Discover what parenting strategies work best for your family.

2. Create a parenting plan that will help bring more peace and joy to your family.

3. Appreciate what is working well. Parent coaching is a strengths-based approach.

Parent coaching is not therapy. Therapy focuses on healing past emotional wounds and is often crucial to family health. Parent coaching acknowledges issues requiring therapy and goes beyond by helping parents focus on finding better strategies.

In short, parent coaching is a family friendly way of helping.
